VicForests - Woori Yallock

The brief for the new Woori Yallock offices located in the Yarra Ranges was concise. To provide their team a great working environment that reflected who they were as an organisation, with a focus on performance & encouraging team interaction and collaboration.

The engineered blueprint design options took into account the different working style spaces required, including collaboration working zones with a focus on ergonomic healthcare, & meeting spaces also able to for events and functions. With people performance and staff spatial engagement being key for VicForests, Studio Icon designed and constructed a self-propelled environment where the team are emotionally engaged so that the work space becomes the body language™ of the organisation.   The Icon interior design team put forward interior and finishes options for VicForests incorporating the 5 Well-being Principles™ behind the science of design. 

Taking a leap of faith, Management at VicForests stepped out of their traditional comfort zones & opted to go with our leading recommendations for the interior finishes, with all timber used within the project being sourced from the sustainable harvesting of the VicForest sawmills.  The acoustic mitigation strategy maintaining confidentiality & privacy where required and the open spaces providing opportunities to team up and collaborate combined with the positive physiological responses to the optimised use of natural light, biophilic elements resulted in overwhelming positive feedback from the staff.
