Residence to medical clinic conversion, including a highly strategic & successful application to satisfy town planning, local law, and vegetation controls.
Critical to the success of the conversion of a house to a functioning medical clinic, was the removal of a significant Liquidamber tree that was frustrating a workable parking flow & plan. However upon the client’s application for the tree removal, the tree was inspected twice by the local Planning Arborist as well as returning with the local Environmental Policy & Planning Officer, and was subsequently refused.
Icon inhouse advisory took up the case on behalf of the client, and was able to establish that high up in the tree there was advanced inclusion with ribbing and discoloration. The inhouse Icon team then successfully overturned the local shire decision and was granted permission for the tree’s removal. What was once an untidy maze of fences and uneven surfaces, is now a large ease-of-use patient carpark.

The transformed property is now a highly efficient and fully functional Medical Centre, delivering a significant return on investment for the client and a convenient place for the community patients. The bespoke interior is welcoming with large scale windows ensuring masses of natural light and a feeling of space, flow and ease.
