AFS Freight Services - Niddrie
Initially called in for a ‘comparision’ quote, ICON INTERIORS muti-disciplinary review enabled the ICON design team to put forward a blueprint office space concept that gained additional work zones for the staff.
AFS’s unique and flexible model of freight management consultancy is designed to empower clients and maximise their return on investment. AFS’s resources, make it happen with their carrier network, dedicated in-house Customer Service and Call Centre, and AFS FreightLink, the company's customisable freight management software system. Wanting the best return on their own investment in their people, AFS engaged ICON INTERIORS. The ICON engineered space blueprint not only allowed for future company growth, but concealed structural elements that were disrupting the visual landscape of the focus areas.
Why didn’t any of the other Architects come up with this design? I’ve learnt more about design in the last 15 minutes from Gavin that all the money we spent with XXXXX Architects over the last 6 weeks.
For AFS growth plans, the additional work zones and uninterrupted focus areas were a game-changer. Along with the focus areas & acoustic mitigation, part of the people performance strategy was the large break out space. Ideal for collaboration for both business and time out, the break out kitchen and relax zone included table tennis. Custom joinery and storage assist with maximum efficiencies and the biophilic elements including natural light make the informal meeting spaces a place with high spatial engagement. This is all housed in their new Melbourne office fitout strategically designed by ICON INTERIORS for further company growth.
