A thriving digital dental laboratory, producing prosthetic and cosmetic health products across Australia. In times when the purpose of the office is being questioned, the directors engaged Icon Interiors for consultation on a second tenancy location. With the objective of attracting fresh talent & securing qualified staff, the Icon Studio created an extraordinary operation and renewal of energy to self-generate from within the clinic.
As medical practices and workplaces are revaluating Real Estate return on investment, the in-house Icon Studio assesses the revenue generating metrics and delivers an overall performance score rating. For clinic stakeholders & corporate directors, the bottom-line metric is for every m2 to be vibrant, not vacant. This proprietary methodology is called Force Multiplier™ and identifies m2 return on investment ratio and for what percentage of the business week.

The medical laboratory facility is designed to facilitate people flow, space flow, operational flow, and a vibrant magnetic vibe. Icon Interiors engagement included acoustic control mapping, Town Planning and compliance gaps, lean processes, clinical waste management reduction, an integrated air system achieving reduced sound pressure levels by 40% and reduced costs by 60%. The performance-based interior design outcome was collaborative genius, in close consultation with the client team. Working with the existing angular building floorplate, the design team utilised the geometry to create a performance-based design interior.
